Four men were arrested Saturday after a police standoff related to the armed robbery of a nearby marijuana dispensary in Upland, authorities said.
The hourslong barricade situation occurred at a home in the 1400 block of Randy Street, less than a mile from a marijuana dispensary where a violent armed robbery was committed Friday night, according to the Upland Police Department.
No suspects were outstanding, said police Lt. Cliff Matthews.
In the first incident, three male victims were ambushed by five men about 10 p.m. after exiting the business, located in the 700 block of North Mountain Avenue, police Lt. Alan Ansara said late Friday night.
The victims were forced back into the building, where one was pistol-whipped and another was shot in the leg, Ansara said.
The robbers stole an unspecified amount of cash and fled in one of the victims’ 2007 Lexus IS 250, according to police. The car is described as dark gray with license place No. 6ZOV300.
The victims, who were bound with zip ties, were able to free themselves after about an hour and notified authorities, Ansara said.
