Five arraigned from recent dispensary raids – Petoskey News-Review

GAYLORD — Five people have been arraigned in 87th District Court after Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement (SANE) officers raided local marijuana dispensaries last month.

The raids, which took place the night of July 24, involved five marijuana dispensaries in Gaylord. Seven people were arrested in total, but only those who have been arraigned have been formally charged with delivering marijuana.

That group includes Veronica James, 56, of Onaway, Chad Morrow, 37, of Vanderbilt, Kyle Ellsworth, 24, of Gaylord, Bradley Harvey, 22, of Gaylord, and Kevin Kuhle, 20, of Charlevoix.

James, Morrow, Ellsworth and Kuhle will have a probable cause hearing on Aug. 24, with a preliminary trial scheduled for Aug. 31.

According to Ken Mills, detective lieutenant with SANE, the five dispensaries that were raided July 24 were Cloud 45, 2631 S. Otsego Ave., Patients First, 1349 S. Otsego Ave., Tincture Town, 522 W. Main St., Michigan Medical, 115 S. Wisconsin Ave., and All Well Natural Health, 845 S. Otsego Ave.

This was the third law enforcement action on medical marijuana dispensaries to take place in Gaylord in three years.

The first multiple-dispensary action took place in June 2015 and the second in April 2016.
