Roseburg’s newest marijuana dispensary is not just for “stoners.”
Instead, FX420 Recreational Dispensary co-owners Lyea Dueñas, Robert Schuster and John Agatep are encouraging veterans, senior citizens and off-duty law enforcement officers to try out the store’s products.
Dueñas said the focus of FX420 is to help people relieve their pain, get a better sleep, improve their appetite and skin, and learn more about the many other benefits of cannabis.
“It’s not just a place to buy pot, it’s a place to heal,” Dueñas said.
The owners are planning to open FX420 Recreational Dispensary on April 20 at 161 NE Garden Valley Blvd Suite 105, Roseburg.
Dueñas, the manager, said she got into cannabis for medical reasons when she began treating her stomach issues with cannabidiol (CBD) regiments. CBDs do not have the psychological effects of marijuana with the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), but are meant to produce positive effects on the body such as pain relief, according to Dueñas.
The CBD products available at FX420, including edibles, creams and lotions, and even an oil to help relieve menstrual cramps, derive from the hemp plant, and users of CBDs are able to pass drug tests.
“I want a police officer to come in my store in uniform because he is getting off duty and was hurt on the job,” Schuster said.
Dueñas said she’s planning to team up with the owner of Cougar Cannabis of Roseburg to put on educational events to get the word out about the benefits of CBDs.
The shop also offers a variety of strains of marijuana with THC, as well as accessories.
Dueñas said all the bud tenders are trained to be able to tell customers
