Application for medical marijuana dispensary on Nantasket Ave moves forward – The Patriot Ledger

HULL — A proposed medical marijuana dispensary, grow house and manufacturing facility in the old Atlantic Aquarium is back on track after the town changed the rules on how it negotiates agreements with dispensaries.

The Hull Board of Selectmen voted this week to confirm that Latitude 42, the proposed dispensary, had submitted a complete application as part of the town’s new regulations for how it enters into community host agreements — the first step in the medical marijuana application process.

Latitude 42 first brought its proposal to turn the Atlantic Aquarium building at 120 Nantasket Ave. into a multi-purpose medical marijuana facility in July of last year.

That lead to dueling petitions supporting and opposing the project, and more public comment than could be contained in a single meeting.

In September, the board passed, a set of new regulations outlining how a marijuana dispensary would even apply to get a community host agreement, one of the first required steps in opening a dispensary.
