The controversial application for what may become Hoboken’s first adult-use dispensary is likely still weeks away from a Planning Board vote, a key step toward city approval, after only one witness testified at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Residents and neighbors of the 14th Street building where Story Dispensary proposes to operate peppered the applicant’s second witness, architect Michael Tormey, with questions — some pertinent, some not and some redundant — for nearly two and a half hours as they tried to poke holes in the plan for the store’s layout.
