Since the first medical marijuana dispensary opened in Arkansas in May 2019, patients in The Natural State have spent a total of $447 million to obtain 66,994 pounds of cannabis.Scott Hardin, director of communications for hte Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, says patients purchased 3,527 pounds of medical marijuana from the state’s 37 dispensaries in October. State tax collection on medical marijuana totaled $2.75 million in October.

The Releaf Center dispensary in Bentonville recently surpassed 7,000 pounds in sales. It is the first dispensary to reach 7,000 pounds.

In addition to the overall weight sold by each dispensary, medical marijuana reporting now also includes weight sold the previous month (by individual dispensary).

The Arkansas Department of Health reports 78,585 active patient cards.
