BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) — A 28-year-old Bakersfield man was arrested on drug charges on Monday, Oct. 30, when an alleged illegal marijuana dispensary was shut down on California Avenue, said the Bakersfield Police Department.
At around 1 p.m., BPD detectives with the Major Narcotics Unit searched an illegal marijuana dispensary on a warrant. Officers said they found 6.2 ounces of marijuana, 2.5 ounces of psychedelic mushrooms, and additional controlled substances which were seized. The building was posted as uninhabitable by city code enforcement.
Luis Cruz was arrested on the following charges: Maintaining a location to sell a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sales.
