Battle Creek Police arrest 11 in connection with marijuana dispensary burglaries – Battle Creek Enquirer

Battle Creek Police have arrested 11 young men in connection with recent burglaries at marijuana dispensaries in the areas of Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and other portions of southern Michigan.

According to a release, police arrested 11 individuals and recovered “a large amount” of marijuana products, several guns, other narcotics and a stolen car through a joint investigation Thursday with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

Battle Creek officers responded to a home in the first block of East Avenue South around 7:15 a.m. Thursday for a report of people throwing a safe off the roof, attempting to break it open.

Police arrived to find 10 suspects, all young men ranging from late teens to early 20s, at the scene. Several suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended by police, according to the release.
