Broomfield welcomes first cannabis dispensary – Boulder Daily Camera

Broomfield has officially welcomed its first cannabis dispensary, Magnolia Road, to the community.

Magnolia Road opened its doors on Oct. 24 and a ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce last Friday to officially introduce the store to Broomfield.

“It’s been such a welcoming reception from the community,” owner Dan Martin said.

Martin, who owns other dispensaries in Boulder and Trinidad, is a Broomfield local.

“I grew up in neighborhoods right around where the store is located,” Martin said. “My parents and sister are both right down the street. Everyone coming in feels like a neighbor.”

As a local, leading the way for cannabis businesses in Broomfield is a great honor, Martin said.

“Being the first in my hometown feels incredible,” Martin said. “It’s been a long time coming and being first is so exciting. I don’t know if I’ll ever come down from it.”

Martin said the Broomfield community can expect good prices and quality products from Magnolia Road.
