Cannabis Dispensary Special Use Permit Approved In Bolingbrook – Patch

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Village Board approved a special use permit for a cannabis dispensary at 361 S. Bolingbrook Drive, at its Tuesday board meeting.

The special use permit was approved for Ivy Hall.

The dispensary would be licensed by the state, Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said during the meeting. A photo ID would be required to enter and be limited to customers over the age of 21.

Applicant Gregory Elliott said the dispensaries that they operate in Washington do “significant community outreach,” and donate to local food banks and programs.

Trustee Sheldon Watts asked about the business’ hiring practices and hiring locally.

“Our primary focus is to hire local,” Elliott said.

Elliott said the Bolingbrook location hopes to open by April 2023.
