The Executive Board of Community Board 1 met on September 11 via Zoom to discuss four newly licensed premises authorized by the State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) within CB 1.
The new licensed premises are:

37th St. SRJS Corp., Steinway Street, Astoria NY 11103

On September 12, the Cannabis Control Board voted to expand applications to legally grow, process or sell cannabis in New York State although an ongoing lawsuit has brought the retail cannabis industry to a standstill.
The Control Board, operating under the auspices of Office of Cannabis Management, begins to accept applications from cultivators, processors, microbusinesses and retailers as of October 4. Previously, applicants had to have a previous marijuana conviction to apply for a Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) license to open a dispensary.
CAURD licenses were put on hold in August after a group of veterans filed a lawsuit alleging the program is unconstitutional and a state Supreme Court Justice issued an injunction temporarily suspending the approval of 460 CAURD licenses and the opening of new dispensaries.
