FENNVILLE — Holland isn’t the only town on the lakeshore experiencing solid business growth. Fennville, too, is celebrating a successful couple of years.
The Fennville Downtown Development Authority recently celebrated eight new and growing businesses with a community ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, June 24.
“Fennville is a great place to do business,” Tom Pantelleria, chairperson of the DDA, said during the event. “We thank the new businesses for locating here and the people who are new owners of already established businesses for growing with us.”
Businesses celebrated included The Book Warehouse of West Michigan, Healthy Fennville, Tastee Treet, Cris’ Hairstyling, El Jaripeo and West Michigan Pizza on Main Street; City Hall Provisions on Maple Street and Sharp Family Dentistry on First Street.
City Hall Provisions, located in the former Fennville City Hall, is the town’s first marijuana dispensary. The shop opened as a CBD store in April 2021 and expanded to become a full dispensary in August.
“The community and space felt right to me,” said owner Patricia Dewenter. “It’s been a pleasure getting to know members of the community as we grow our business here.”
