This is the first medical marijuana dispensary to have lost its license since medical marijuana began opening up in Arkansas in 2019.
Dragan Vicentic, the owner of the dispensary, had filed against the state, challenging the revocation of his license. In today’s hearing, the judge announced the request to stay the issue is postponed, for now.
The Green Springs Medical Dispensary license in Hot Springs was initially revoked because of violations including failure to maintain proper inventory records, missing products, expired inventory sales, and improper medication labeling.
Scott Hardin, Spokesperson for the Department of Finance and Administration, tells us, “The largest issue that’s been brought to light though all of this is expired product.”
The board also noted unsanitary processing conditions – where they found trash and dirty equipment. They said Vicentic didn’t cooperate with the ABC representatives who were trying to help him improve the dispensary standards.
“Obviously, ABC is going to have to watch very closely, just like they do with all dispensaries. They’ve been very open that this dispensary has been a problem
