Lume Cannabis Co. opens new retail dispensary in Portage – MLive.com

PORTAGE, MI — Lume Cannabis Co. has opened its second Kalamazoo County location.

The recreational marijuana company, which now has 32 provisioning centers across Michigan, opened its adult-use shop at 5324 Meredith St. in Portage on Friday, July 29. The location offers both in-person purchases as well as delivery seven days a week.

It joins the existing location, at 3406 Stadium Dr. in Kalamazoo, which was the company’s first Michigan dispensary to go into business when it opened in November 2019.

“After a warm welcome from the nearby Kalamazoo community more than two years ago, we’re thrilled to open a new retail location in Portage,” said Doug Hellyar, president and COO of Lume. “It’s an especially exciting time for Lume as we have added three store locations to our retail lineup in just the past month.”

The Michigan marijuana retail giant, which employs 1,000 people across the state, also opened locations in Ann Arbor and in Grand Rapids earlier this month.
