Man, 62, charged in connection with Warren dispensary robbery – The Macomb Daily

A 62-year-old man has been jailed, accused of trying to rob a pot shop nearly two months ago.

Rodney Robinson, of Detroit was arraigned in 37th District Court Wednesday morning in connection with an armed robbery of a dispensary in Warren.

It is alleged that on June 9, Robinson caused a disturbance outside of the Sherwood Dispensary on Sherwood Avenue, north of 10 Mile Road.  He is accused of shooting through the glass door hitting a victim on the property, then unlocking the door and shooting at the victim again as he was retreating.

Robinson and another man then allegedly entered the store and stole the safe. Both men exited the store to a waiting Chevy Tahoe, when the getaway driver then fled.

Robinson is charged with assault with intent to murder, a life felony; armed robbery, a life felony; conspiracy to commit armed robbery, life felony; assault with intent to rob while armed, life felony; felon in possession of firearm, a five-year felony; and five counts of felony firearm, a two-year mandatory felony.

Robinson was arraigned in the 37th District Court in Warren by Magistrate Ted Metry, who set bond at $500,000.00 cash/surety only. He was ordered to undergo
