Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation Wednesday of the shooting of a man who was killed during an altercation in a Lancaster smoke shop.
Investigators responded to a business in the 1400 block of West Avenue I at around 3:25 p.m. Tuesday regarding a shooting, said homicide Lt. Michael Mordica of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The department said two men “entered the store and were involved in a fight with the victim, during which time one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. The suspects were last seen fleeing the location on foot.”
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
