Adyson and Andrew Alvis, the cousin duo behind Grinder’s Coffee Bar in West U, have opened a new establishment, Wild. The new multidimensional lounge, located in the Heights, is a one-stop shop  — a lively coffee shop by day and an eclectic Bali-inspired bar and dispensary by night. 

As Texas legislation begins to sort out the possibility of legalizing cannabis, Houston is one of the cities leading the way.  “We wanted to create a place that immediately transforms your emotions into a laid-back and relaxing vibe, an experience that you cannot find anywhere else in Houston.” Andrew Alvis says. 

Unique it is — the bar brings a one-of-a-kind experience that you won’t find anywhere else in Texas. 

Delta-8 THC is currently legal in Texas after a Travis County judge temporarily blocked the state from classifying it as a controlled substance. Under the current law, hemp-derived Delta-8 THC with less than 0.3% THC, is legal to buy and sell, which created a window of opportunity for the Alvis family.
