It’s never dull in New York’s marijuana industry. Last week, we at NY Cannabis Insider ran stories about a raucous meeting between state officials and CAURD licensees, controversy surrounding dispensaries in New Paltz, and plenty more.

Let’s take a look at the stories we covered:

We had a bit of rain, but the panel discussion was engaging, and plenty of people braved the weather to tour Beak & Skiff’s apple orchard and distillery in UTVs.

Reporter Wesley Parnell covered a meeting held Tuesday evening in Queens, at which New York regulators from the OCM and DASNY announced a series of new initiatives for the beleaguered rollout of the state’s cannabis program to an audience of licensees.

The two-hour meeting began with an optimistic tone, as regulators announced a series of new initiatives, including a modified loan program for CAURD holders and a database for checking zoning locations. But it ended with attendees heckling top officials over a lack of financial transparency.
