CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Several Tri-State marijuana dispensaries are getting ready to submit their license applications Friday so they can eventually sell marijuana recreationally.
The Landing Dispensary says they have prepared as if products can hit the shelves in the next couple of weeks, but Ohio has not given a clear-cut date on when applications will be approved.
“Tomorrow is that big day where we can finally apply for the dual-use certification license and see when we can actually get started,” said General Manager Abayomi. “Hopefully, we can hear something back within a week or so and actually start having sales.”
The Landing Dispensary has four locations across the state, including one in Norwood and another in Monroe.
The interest level in their recreational launch has been so high, that the dispensary says they have had to put a note on the door letting customers know it is not time yet.
“It’s exciting and frustrating all at the same time, simply because we have people that want to come and pick up and are frustrated that they can’t and we don’t have a concrete answer for them when they do come in,” Abayomi explained.
