ANNAPOLIS, MD — A new medical marijuana dispensary is opening in Annapolis.
The business, branded as Panacea Wellness, announced its opening last Wednesday. It will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony next week.
The dispensary will sell everything from cannabis flowers and pre-rolled products to vaporizers and edibles. Topical treatments and concentrates will also be available at the 5,000-square-foot store, located at 2061 Generals Highway.
MariMed, Inc owns the Annapolis business. This Panacea Wellness dispensary is operated by Kind Therapeutics USA, which is owned by MariMed.
“We are proud to serve patients in the Annapolis region with our premium product offerings delivered by our highly trained team,” MariMed President Jon Levine said in a Wednesday press release.
MariMed also owns or manages dispensaries in Illinois, Massachusetts and Delaware. Additional MariMed sites are under development in Illinois, Massachusetts and Ohio.
The company plans to review potential growth opportunities in other states where cannabis is legal. MariMed said Maryland law allows it to own up to three more dispensaries in the state.
MariMed also operates a 90,000-square-foot cannabis cultivation and production facility in Hagerstown. The company said its MariMed products are distributed to nearly all of the roughly 100 dispensaries in Maryland’s medical marijuana program.
