Austintown Township Zoning Inspector Darren Crivelli has drafted approval language to present to the Township Trustees for a potential recreation marijuana dispensary to be built at the former Knight’s Inn hotel on 76 Drive near Interstate 80 and State Route 46. If trustees approve the amendment, this site would qualify as a potential site.

A motion to schedule a public hearing for trustees is tentatively scheduled for Monday, August 5, at 7 p.m.

Testimony was heard Thursday evening before the Zoning Commission approved a zone change for 5431 76 Drive for the possible location.

After a public hearing, trustees may vote on permitting the dispensary at this approved location.
