Ohio is one step closer to recreational marijuana sales.Recently, Ohio’s Division of Cannabis Control awarded provisional licenses to existing medical marijuana businesses.Four were given to current medical marijuana dispensaries that operate in the Greater Cincinnati area. In Hamilton County, Sunnyside in Columbia Township and The Landing in Norwood both were awarded. Then in Clermont County, The Forest in Mount Carmel and Beyond Hello in Summerside also received provisional licenses.“Things are moving pretty fast in Ohio,” Sunnyside Spokesperson Jason Erkeys said. “We’ve received our provisional approval to open up our store n Cincinnati but there’s a couple more steps in the process.”Before dispensaries can get their final stamp of approval from the state the businesses must first meet an additional set of requirements. Some of the items on that list include notifying local law enforcement officials about their business, training employees, ensuring their security equipment meets state requirements, and products must meet state guidelines. “We need to do a test transaction for the state, they need to log in and check our security footage, and file some additional paperwork,” Erkes said. “We’re hoping in the coming weeks we’ll have that approval to open up for residents in Cincinnati.”In Forest Park, medical
