Minnesota Recreational Cannabis Implementation Details

Like the others, Minnesota’s journey towards legalizing recreational cannabis has been complex and evolving, one to say the least. Now, adults aged 21 and older are allowed to purchase and possess up to 1.5 ounces (32 grams) of cannabis flower while up to two pounds are allowed at home. Citizens can also grow up to eight plants per household for personal use.

Don’t expect to walk into a local dispensary any time soon. There are two tribal nations in northern Minnesota who will open recreational dispensaries this month – the Red Lake and the White Earth nations exercised their rights, under tribal sovereignty, to allow sales.
