SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Saratoga Springs Planning Board will hear more during its meeting Thursday from one of two marijuana companies seeking a special use permit to operate a dispensary in the city.

The city recently approved a temporary special use permit for Ten Cees LLC to open a dispensary at 95 West Avenue. Now, Excelsior Cannabis, LLC is looking to open up a shop at 75 Weibel Ave. and Reverie 73 NY, LLC is seeking to open a store at 1 Kaydeross Avenue West.

Excelsior Cannabis is scheduled to appear before the Planning Board Thursday night. The documents do not clearly state who owns the company.

The dispensary would be 1,250 feet inside of an existing commercial space, according to Planning Board documents provided by Joshua Silver, who is listed as the attorney for the company.

The company plans to use adjacent undeveloped land for additional parking and extend the sidewalk along Weibel Avenue along the southern edge of the border. The company is asking the board to waive site plan review because it isn’t altering the exterior of the building.
