Arrests made for illegal dispensary sales in Wagoner County – Tulsa World

From Staff Reports

WAGONER — Eleven people were arrested and charged with distributing a controlled dangerous substance by selling through dispensaries to customers without a valid medical marijuana card, it was announced Wednesday.

Bond was set at $25,000 for the seven arrested in the City of Wagoner and four more in the Broken Arrow area. None of the 11, nor the dispensaries investigated, have been identified.

Wagoner County investigators and the District 27 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force received information about dispensaries operating illegally and began conducting an ongoing undercover operation on June 7.

Staff at the dispensaries investigated made illegal sales to undercover agents who did not produce an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority patient card.

“I understand that many of my constituents in Wagoner County legally possess an OMMA card and consume the products associated with the license,” Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott said in a statement. “The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office will never infringe on those rights that you have been granted by the State of Oklahoma or the United States Constitution. We will, however, aggressively pursue any business in Wagoner County that operates in any illegal manner.”
