Dispensary map: Where to buy recreational weed in the Columbus area – The Columbus Dispatch

Brace yourselves, Columbus. Weed is coming.

As of this week, the Ohio Department of Cannabis Control has granted at least five Columbus medical marijuana dispensaries provisional licenses for dual sales, the last stop before a certificate of operation that clears them to sell recreational marijuana, too.

It’s the home stretch after months of finalizing the program and procedures set in motion by Issue 2, the ballot issue Ohioans voted on legalizing marijuana back in November. The division began accepting applications earlier this month and have granted dozens of provisional licenses statewide.

See which dispensaries have been OK’d to sell medical or recreational marijuana below.

The certificates could be granted any day now, though the exact timeline is unclear, and once the dispensaries receive them, it’s up to the businesses when they’ll start to sell, according to the division.
