Local medical cannabis dispensary reacts to MSDH pulling Rapid Analytics License – WLBT

PEARL, Miss. (WLBT) – WLBT first told you Thursday about the State Department of Health pulling Rapid Analytics’ license after a nearly 2-month investigation.

Many dispensaries have been impacted during that time.

Dispensaries like Cream Cannabis and growing facilities throughout the state took the worst of the administrative hold and investigation into Rapid Analytics.

Things are trending in the right direction though as more flowers hit the shelves, but they still have yet to put out any of their edible products tested by Rapid.

There is a worry among workers in the cannabis industry that this could spark fear among patients.

“I’m just really hoping that it doesn’t scare off anybody that’s looking to get their card thinking that you know, there was ever any pesticides or anything in the product,” Christian Gallagher, the manager of Cream Cannabis Company in Pearl said. “I want people to understand that Mississippi products are good and safe and that we’re all working towards the same goal here. It’s a good medicine for the people.”

Cream Cannabis now has about 75% of the Rapid Analytics tested products back out for patients after they were re-tested by MSDH, and they expect operations will slowly return to normal since the investigation is
