Woman-Owned Dispensary Opens By Cherry Hill – Patch

MERCHANTVILLE, NJ — A new dispensary opened Friday in the Cherry Hill area, with Gynsyng joining the region’s growing number of cannabis retailers.

Gynsyng (14 S Centre St., Merchantville), a woman-owned recreational dispensary, is located just blocks away from Merchantville’s border with the township.

Cherry Hill, which is currently mulling whether to allow cannabis businesses in the township, now has multiple dispensaries just outside of its boundaries. The first was MPX NJ in Pennsauken, which opened last year.

Gynsyng Majority Owner Jana Murzenski is a professional baby photographer who was born in East Germany. Alternative medicines weren’t available in the former nation, Murzenski says. So she’s thrilled to help others access such treatments through her adult-use business.

Murzenski was also inspired by her best friend’s son, who was born with epilepsy. THC has brought him closer to controlling his seizures than ever before.

“Watching them gain immense gratitude for the ability to utilize cannabis to improve his quality of life impacted me so much,” Murzenski said. “I find it really inspiring to speak with people in the industry and to continuously learn why more and more people use cannabis for health and wellness.”

Gynsyng occupies a former pharmacy space of 5,400 square feet.
