Apotheca Dispensary Opens Fifth Charlotte Location in Five Years – Queen City Nerve

Cornelius-based Apotheca Dispensary will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday outside of its new South End location, the business’s fifth location in Charlotte and 37th spread across three states, showing rapid growth since the business first launched in 2019.

The location at 3039 South Blvd. has already opened for business, but Apotheca owner and CEO Lee VanTine II wanted to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Charlotte as he considers it the business’s “hometown.”

“We’ve been busy,” VanTine stated in a release leading up to the celebration. “This is the 37th store in three states, with more than a dozen in this area alone. That’s because we’re Charlotte area-based, out of Cornelius, so it’s our first hometown ribbon cutting and it’s special.” 

Scheduled for noon on Thursday, the ribbon-cutting will be followed by a 60-minute sale to mark the occasion, with all THCa flower and THCa disposables cut to 50% off, among other deals. 

According to the Apotheca website, this will be the business’s 27th location in North Carolina, with five more opening soon. The first location was opened in the northern Mecklenburg town of Cornelius in 2019 with a goal to provide
