Two Columbia cannabis microbusiness dispensaries were among nine in the state whose licenses were revoked Wednesday by The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation.
A Department of Health and Senior Services news release said that Frankenstein Enemy, LLC, 700 Vandiver Drive, and Cannarooted LLC, Cannarooted LLC, at 206 East Texas Ave., were among the dispensary microbusinesses that lost their licenses.
The agency found the dispensaries had rule violations such as providing false or misleading information in their applications and failure to demonstrate that the microbusiness licenses were majority owned and operated by eligible individuals, according to the release.
The state created the microbusiness category for dispensaries, which are small businesses designed to allow marginalized or under-represented individuals to participate in the legal marijuana market.
