The WPB commission’s decision reflects their stance on the expansion of medical marijuana dispensaries within the city limits. Currently, Florida law permits the use of medical marijuana for qualified patients, but the topic of recreational cannabis legalization has gained traction and is very close to becoming a ballot initiative in 2024.
