What Are Crystal, Crystalline, Diamond, And THC Isolates?

Crystal (THC isolate) is also known as Crystalline, THC crystals, or diamonds. This highly concentrated product consists of an isolated cannabinoid concentrate. Crystal THC is a solid form. CBD crystals are also available. CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid.

Cannabinoid isolates can be produced that are more than 99.9 percent pure.  The purest form is a powder. These potent concentrates are produced by refining cannabis oil through a series of filtration and distillation processes to isolate the cannabinoids.  Once the refining process is complete the final product resembles coarse sugar crystals.

Being isolated compounds, THC and CBD crystals lack the terpenes found in cannabis flowers and less refined cannabis concentrates. Due to the lack of terpenes, cannabinoid isolates do not offer the entourage effect — or the combined effect of the cannabinoids and terpenes.

Pure cannabinoids are also odorless and flavorless. Some individuals seeking the full-spectrum oils in cannabis flower and other concentrates may not enjoy the effects of THC crystal isolate. However, some recreational marijuana aficionados and medical marijuana patients….Read Full Article Here

West Virginia marijuana patients can now buy cannabis in DC

Washington DC

Washington DC

Qualifying patients in the state of West Virginia, can now legally consume and possess medical marijuana products. However, dispensaries in West Virginia aren’t expected to be open for business until late November 2021.

Fortunately, individuals in possession of a valid West Virginia medical marijuana card — or an MMJ card from any other state, for that matter — can now legally purchase cannabis products at Washington, D.C. dispensaries. There are currently seven dispensaries in the city.

In terms of purchase and possession limits, DC dispensaries can decide how much cannabis they will sell at one time. Washington DC has decriminalized the possession of less than one ounce of cannabis for personal use, so it’s best to limit your purchase to one ounce.

Medical Marijuana for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Multiple sclerosis or MS is among the most prevalent neurodegenerative diseases in Ohio. MS is also one of the qualifying conditions for obtaining a Ohio medical marijuana card.

MS is triggered when the protective sheath surrounding neurons (myelin) is eroded. This erosion causes an interruption of signals to the central nervous system which in turn impairs motor function and coordination.

The impairment of motor coordination comes with a host of other symptoms such as blurred vision and partial blindness, tremors, numbness, muscle weakness, fatigue, seizures, dizziness, bowel and bladder dysfunction, and slurred speech.

The traditional medications administered to MS patients offer only a temporary respite from symptoms and sadly may induce a number of unpleasant and potentially fatal side-effects.

Can marijuana, a product of the cannabis plant, be used to help MS patients lessen their symptoms? Is marijuana actually safe and effective?

In multiple studies, medical marijuana has been shown to mitigate and possibly eradicate the spasticity and seizures frequently suffered by MS patients. Moreover, unlike traditional pharmaceuticals used to treat MS, marijuana is non-toxic and non-habit forming as long as…

Postal Service Vape Ban Is Now in Effect

The United States Postal Service will issue a final rule Oct. 21 that will end delivery of vaping products through the U.S. Mail. The new USPS rule, which will take effect immediately after publication in the Federal Register, will drastically change online sales and shipping of vaping devices and liquids.

As mandated by Congress in the Preventing Online Sales of E-Cigarettes to Children Act (POSECCA), the final rule will not contain any exceptions for residential delivery of either nicotine or cannabis vaping products (except within the states of Alaska and Hawaii). POSECCA was passed with no opposition and signed into law by President Trump last December as part of the federal budget bill.

In addition to banning vape mail, POSECCA forced vape shippers to comply with the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking (PACT) Act—a law originally passed in 2009 that until now applied only to cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. The PACT Act imposes strict requirements on shippers, and is enforced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The USPS rule was due….

$1,000,000,000,000? Elon Musk could become the world’s first trillionaire

Elon Musk could become the world’s first trillionaire, according to a prediction made by investment firm Morgan Stanley.

However, it won’t be from his highly successful electric vehicle company Tesla. Instead, it’ll likely be from his fledgling space startup SpaceX, The Guardian reports, despite the fact that Tesla’s net worth is about $850 billion, almost 30 times SpaceX’s $30 billion price tag.

Tesla became the most valuable American carmaker in 2020, eclipsing veterans such as Ford and General Motors, while SpaceX is still privately traded.

The business mogul’s personal wealth recently ballooned to $222 billion, building his lead as the richest person in the world, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.

How did Elon Musk get SpaceX to take off?

SpaceX was founded in 2002 with lofty ambitions to send humans to Mars while bringing down the cost of space travel.

To get his spaceflight ambitions off the ground, Musk attempted to buy refurbished Russian ballistic missiles. That proved to be too expensive, and working with Russian….

Florida company Trulieve becomes largest marijuana retailer in U.S.

Trulieve, the state’s largest medical marijuana operator, is now the nation’s biggest cannabis retailer, after closing on a $2.1 billion deal to acquire former competitor Harvest Health & Recreation Inc.

The transaction marks a major development in Florida, where Harvest held one of 22 licenses to cultivate, process and sell medical marijuana to a growing patient population, and in the nation’s rapidly expanding pot industry.

Trulieve CEO Kim Rivers called the closing of the deal a “transformational milestone” in her Gadsden County-based company’s brief history.

“When we really started five short years prior, I wasn’t taking a salary and I was in the back making capsules and ensuring that shipments went out on time. Obviously, there’s been incredible growth. We started this company with patients in mind and with an absolute dedication to a steadfast focus on providing access and medical cannabis to patients in the state of Florida, specifically. So that mission hasn’t changed,” Rivers told The News Service of Florida in a phone interview.

Trulieve was one of the state’s first medical marijuana operators, launching after Florida lawmakers in 2014 approved non-euphoric cannabis for patients with severe epilepsy. The company blossomed after Florida voters in 2016 passed…

Who Wants To Go On Vacation To Florida And Be MISERABLE?

Amy and Mark Anderson and their two kids are coming to Florida for a nice, expensive, Disneyworld vacation and to spend some quality time at the nation’s best beaches. Back home in Ohio, Amy is a cardholding medical marijuana patient who uses cannabis to relieve chronic pain from an old injury, as well as having mild Chron’s Disease, and Mark, who suffers from PTSD generally carries a cannabis-infused vape pen for anxiety relief, also has his medical card. By using medical marijuana, both have been able to lead happier lives, raising their kids in todays world while getting off some of the drugs prescribed by doctors.

The fact of the matter is, if they want to enjoy their Florida vacation, they’re going to have to either smuggle in their cannabis and risk ending up in prison or they’ll have to carry an array of pharmaceuticals to deal with their medical issues. Some of those drugs are toxic and come with side effects that could make it difficult to be a normal family.

It’s highly likely that this family — or any medical marijuana patient — will have to seriously think twice about coming here on vacation.

BRANSON, Mo. – After a few months of anticipation, Green Light Dispensaries is officially the first medical marijuana facility in Branson. Travis Harp, a retail general manager for Green Light, said he hopes to expand on the former location of Lone Star Steakhouse by possibly adding a farmers market in the future.

“Here off Green Mountain Drive, so it’s a beautiful facility. We’re only using part of the potential that it could possibly be,” said Harp.

Inside the first hour of their grand opening today, lines were so long that some patients were waiting in line outside. Lance T. Brown spoke about his family after he made his first visit to the dispensary.

Ohio quietly OKs three new medical marijuana conditions

Three proposed additions to Ohio’s medical marijuana condition list were quietly OK’d by the Ohio State Medical Board earlier this year.

The board’s medical marijuana committee in February determined that three conditions were already covered by the existing qualification of pain that is chronic and severe or intractable.

Those conditions are: arthritis, chronic migraines and complex regional pain syndrome.

The medical board issued a memo two weeks ago confirming the conditions qualify under the existing list but hasn’t yet sent it to physicians. The memo will be shared in the monthly newsletter for physicians who have registered to recommend medical marijuana.

Committee members drew a distinction between occasional migraines and migraines that happen several days a month.

“It’s not like someone has a migraine once a year and it self-resolves and would be a candidate,” board member Dr. Amol Soin said in February. “I don’t think that’s the intention here.”

Every year, the medical board accepts submissions for new qualifying conditions to add to Ohio’s list of 22. Submissions must include evidence cannabis can be used to treat or alleviate the disease or condition and letters of support from physicians. The board has added just one…Read More
