Good Day Farm acquires, demolishes Riverdale building – Arkansas Times

Griffin CoopDEMOLITION, MAN: Good Day Farm was in the process of demolishing the Raney Building last week.

Good Day Farm has acquired and begun demolition of the building state regulators previously approved as the new site of its dispensary on Cantrell Road.

Arkansas Business reported this week that GW1234 Investments LLC purchased the building at 3600 Cantrell Road, known as the Raney Building. The publication described the limited liability company as an affiliate of Good Day Farm and said the company had acquired the building for $2.87 million. The project is being financed with a $4.8 million loan from Farmers Bank and Trust of Magnolia, according to Arkansas Business.

Good Day Farm did not provide the Arkansas Times with additional information on the plans for the site upon request.

“We’ve been getting reports for quite a while that they have been selling to unlicensed patients, minors and other persons,” Webster said.

Webster said they have been waiting to get a search warrant on the dispensary.

“The Bristow Police Department along with Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority and the District 24 Drug and Violent Task Force executed what started out as a compliance check, but became a search warrant here at the Dank Dispensary in Bristow,” Webster said.

Webster said they are still new to having medical marijuana in the state and are still learning how to deal with what comes with it.

Police, OK Medical Marijuana Authority raid Bristow dispensary – 2 News Oklahoma KJRH Tulsa

BRISTOW, Okla. — Bristow Police Department and Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority raided a Bristow dispensary on March 13 after numerous complaints about the business led to undercover agents investigating selling practices.

Multiple employees of Dank Dispensary on Chestnut Street are accused of violating several state medical marijuana laws, including selling to customers without checking their marijuana license.

“We made several buys using unlicensed people out of the dispensary (with undercover officers in the drug task force),” Bristow Assistant Chief of Police Kevin Webster told 2 News. “Today, OMMA came and did a compliance check, and from what I understood of what they said, they were severely out of compliance.”

Webster added officers spent the rest of the day confiscating truckloads of THC products to be used as evidence while the Creek County District Attorney’s Office considers charges. No arrests have been confirmed as of March 13.

The assistant chief said this was the first dispensary raid ever for the city.

“The other dispensaries that I’ve talked to, they’re all for it. And I believe that if you do things right, then you won’t have any issues,” he said.

Nearby Mid-West Grass Station is owned by Kenneth Roebuck, who said he’s not surprised by the news

‘They’re All High’: New Orleans Police Say Rats Can’t Stop Eating Marijuana In Evidence Room

LOADINGERROR LOADING

The New Orleans Police Department is battling a slew of unsafe conditions at its headquarters, from faulty elevators to widespread mold.

But that’s not even the worst of it. The department says it’s also facing a major infestation of drugged-up rats at the dilapidated building on Broad Street.

The gang of pesky rodents became “high” after making their way into the department’s evidence room to nosh on narcotics, New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said.

“The rats are eating our marijuana,” Kirkpatrick told the New Orleans City Council on Monday, CBS News reported. “They’re all high.”

The dangerous conditions aren’t just in the evidence room. Rats have been spreading feces everywhere, including on employees’ desks, leading to poor working conditions, CBS affiliate WWL-TV reported. Cockroaches have also overrun the facility, according to Kirkpatrick.

Among the many maintenance hazards, the building also has broken elevators, non-functioning plumbing and an air-conditioning system that’s been out of commission since last summer, The Guardian reported. The repair bill for all the issues reportedly exceeds $6 million, according to The Guardian.

“It is not just at police headquarters. It is all the districts. The uncleanliness is off the charts,” Kirkpatrick said.

Streamwood’s second — and, for now, last — recreational marijuana shop to open Friday – Daily Herald

Ivy Hall Dispensary will open Friday in Streamwood, where it will be the second of two recreational marijuana shops allowed to operate in the village.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony with village officials at 8:55 a.m. will be followed by giveaways for the first customers of the business at 630 S. Sutton Road.

The Black- and veteran-owned Ivy Hall is the first business to operate under the Illinois Social Equity Program, which provides assistance to people and communities that have been historically impacted by arrests and imprisonment for cannabis offenses. Ivy Hall operates eight other dispensaries, including in Glendale Heights, Crystal Lake, Waukegan, Montgomery and Bolingbrook.

At the 9 a.m. opening, there will be free coffee from Green Joe Coffee, free doughnuts from Country Style Donuts, and the first 150 customers will receive free small frozen Lou Malnati’s pizzas.

Customers from 4 to 7 p.m. will be treated to free burgers from Spoon Burger Food Truck.

The village’s first marijuana shop, Spark’d Dispensary, operates at 1594 Buttitta Drive. Village Manager Sharon Caddigan said the new business means Streamwood now has one dispensary on both the east and west sides of town.

Village regulations allow only two dispensaries on the community.

Chula Vista pot shop could change owners after one indicted – The San Diego Union-Tribune

The co-owner of a Chula Vista marijuana dispensary who was criminally indicted by federal prosecutors last year has agreed to sell his stake in the business, but city officials have yet to sign off on the proposed new partner.

Andres Camberos, one of the principal owners of the Grasshopper Dispensary along Trousdale Drive, was told to divest from the business after he was charged with federal crimes, or risk the loss of the city license.

According to a federal indictment unsealed in September, Camberos and his sister, Adriana Camberos, bought groceries and other consumer goods at a discount on the promise that they would be marketed in Mexico.

But the siblings instead sold the products in the United States, undercutting business rivals, the indictment alleges. As the subject of a federal indictment, Andres Camberos was in jeopardy of having his Chula Vista pot dispensary license revoked.

Late last year, Chula Vista officials informed licensee Vista Property Holdings that Camberos would have to sell his stake in the company in order for Grasshopper Dispensary to keep its license.

City officials said they recently received a change-of-ownership request from an attorney representing Vista Property Holdings.

“This request sought to remove Mr. Camberos as an owner and approve a

Dispensary Near School Approved by Planning Commission | Good Times – Good Times

A new cannabis dispensary is set to take over the site of the former Emily’s Bakery after the Santa Cruz Planning Commission approved the project on March 7. The vote was 5-2 in favor with commissioners Michael Polhamus and John McKelvey voting “no.”

Many Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana (WAMM) members came out to support Valerie Corral who spoke in favor of The Hook Outlet, the dispensary that will take-over supplying WAMM members. The Hook hopes to provide medical marijuana to 200 WAMM members at this location, according to co-founder of The Hook, Bryce Berryessa.

The Santa Cruz City School District  voiced its opposition to the dispensary with a case that boiled down to the site’s proximity to Santa Cruz High. Superintendent Kristin Munro, Santa Cruz High Principal Michelle Poirier and Mission Hill Principal Derek Kendall spoke out against the permit. They requested that the Commission move the zoning-requirement from 600 feet to 2000 feet away from schools.

The dispensary is only 850 feet away from Santa Cruz High. Zoning code currently requires a buffer of 600 feet.

Poirier said that marijuana had become a huge issue at the school. Drug violations were up 50% in 2022-23 and students told
